Our Mission

Implement the strategies of Nehemiah and the ethics of Luke as it relates to community empowerment. We are dedicated to being a catalyst in the rejuvenation and development of leadership in our community. Our mission is to raise the economic, educational and social levels of the low to moderate income residents of Wayne County. Our target area is a 1.5 mile radius of Greenleaf Christian Church which is located in the northern part of the City of Goldsboro. It is our belief that by creating partnerships we will foster ways to create community wide efforts to address poverty, racial injustice, family stability, and education. In addition to delivery of services the mission will also concentrate on the creation of greater ownership and net worth for low wealth people by expanding opportunities for low to moderate income persons to own a home and create opportunities for ownership of business enterprises in economically depressed areas. Our mission includes advocacy for fundamental changes for long term empowerment of our constituents and encouraging them to take an active role in the life of the community; and raising up knowledgeable leaders from amongst their ranks. These collaborations will result in a renaissance enabling us to move forward on a solid foundation that will motivate and challenge development and implementation of programs for pre-school/day care, job training, affordable housing, health awareness, computer technology, substance abuse prevention and small business development.
